Sorry - I'm getting started with all of this.

I have a general question regarding the Affidavit of Support - at what stage is it filed for a K3 application?

I am the sponsor.

I'm asking this because there is a chance that I may be offered a small severence package from my current job and I was planning to go back to England for a month or so to be with my Wife.

Am I right that you need to be in full-time employment to sucessfully file an Affidavit of Support?

Our K3 was filed at the end of June.

Thanks for any help !!

The applicant (beneficiary) will need to take the affidavit of support (I-134, notarized from US) with relevant documents with him/her during the interview at the US Embassy/Consulate.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview
