Hello. Have been happily married since 2006, 1 kid in the interim, and now applying to remove conditions from the green card.

Applied the standard 90 days before expiration. Did get I797c stating that travel and employment has been extended one year.

Was thinking of traveling to Canada after the expiration of the green card, but don't want to run into trouble at the border. Do I need to get my wife a new card, some passport stamp, or simply just bring the expired green card and the I797c letter?

The expired Green Card becomes unexpired as the NOA1 works like an extension stamp on it.
