Just a word of advice, it may be good to write a cover letter and mention the utility bills and the credit cards in them. Some other VJers posted that they received and RFE since those were missing and they had to mail an explanation why they were not included.

Now to answer your question, if you can include bank statements that will be very helpful. If you can't obtain them, then get a letter from the bank saying that both of you are on the account and make sure the beginning date.

In the I-751 application, the more you add the better it gets...

the reason is very obvious, first of all me and my husband have our cards before we met, and second if you open any credit card in a store, you can get some kind of discount on purchase, so, what is the point to use both names if we can use one at the time ))

utilities, I don't even know, we never added my name to the accounts

I understand this because most of the utilities are in my name since I'm the USC and was living here before my husband arrived. The only utility we sent, then, was for our cell phones because it's in his name.

I sent copies of our DLs because that shows matching addresses. You can send proof that you have joint health insurance (if you do) and/or life insurance showing you as the beneficiary on the account.

My husband and I don't have the same health insurance because it's much cheaper for us not to, so I sent proof that he had insurance through his job and gave a short explanation of why. I sent the information that we share a dental plan.

We sent an itinerary for a trip we were going to take abroad. We sent a few pictures too (though neither of these is very strong proof).

Hope this helps.

thank you

you can always call your credit card institution and request them to add your wife name on it............it takes like a minute for them to add you wife name in your credit card...............and if you want you can remove her once the process is complete..............

Check ou the pinned topic in the I-751 forum. I have some comments there from the Director of the VSC department that handles I-751s regarding evidence, what they like to see, etc. Utility bills do not come in high on the list.

I would think the most current bank statement would be adequate.

We sent in a copy from when w got married and approved for GC, then one in the middle and another one which was the latest copy we had. Others send in a copy every 3-4 months totaling around 8-10 statements. Others request a letter from the bank. If you want, you can send in copies of statements and a letter from the bank.

Thank you

that was my guess, but I called our bank, they said it will take 7-10 buisness day to send this letter and they will charge $20 for the letter, So I probably will go with statements only, I have no time to with, elligible to sent papers in 2 days )))
