Birth Abroad (Philippines)

What is the current process for registering a birth abroad to 1 US citizen (wife is Filipina) in the Philippines? How long does it take from start to finish?

Also:

My wife JUST had her application approved by the NVC on Feb 19 and we are waiting for an interview date for her, and she just gave

birth on Feb 9. Will anything change in the immigration process? My gut tells me no because the child will be inheriting my citizenship

though an entirely different process than what my wife is going though.

Since the child likely IS a USC they do not need to immigrate. go to USEM website and get the CRBA process started... when approved the child will be issued a US passport.

YMMV
