Congratulations. What is the date of expiry of your green card? Did you get it through marriage to a US citizen? If the date the green card expires is 2019, then it is a permanent green card and you don't have to do anything more. If the date the green card expires is 2011, then you have a 2 year conditional card. If you have a 2 year conditional green card, then you have 1 1/2 years until your next step. No earlier than 90 days before the card expires and the date that the card expires you need to file another form - the I-751, which is a request to Remove Conditions on your conditional card. You include evidence that you are in a valid marriage and not one for immigration purposes, and when that is approved, you will receive a 10 year green card. When you have a 10 year green card all you need to do is remain a permanent resident in the US, and if you want, apply for US citizenship when you are eligible.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
