Congrats to all the recent approvals!! And welcome back all that have been away for the last 30 pages <wink wink>

On a second thought... I am curious... kinda too late right now... but... In the DS-230 package it was asking for a Divorce Decree... and I wasnt sure if they were asking it on the Petitionor or the Benificary.... So... I sent in mine... Amit has never been married before me... what should of been done here? I know on the DS-230 application that it ask how many times the Benificary had been married and we I mean he <grin> put 1.... so will the divorce paper confuse the peeps at NVC? Or as usual am I thinking too much?

I've been assembling all the packages to send off and noticed some people are talking about Passport Police Certificate! I have my police certificate but don't know about the passport police certificate, is it the same thing or not? Do I need it? I didn't see it on the list of required documents but just wanted to make sure. My embassy is Moscow, and I've read both James' and LingChe's guides, they don't seem to mention anything about that?

Sorry guys, I know I am a worry wort, just wishing for no RFE and April interview date, so gotta send everything in tomorrow! :)

Melody,

Original Divorce Decree for Petitioner goes with the DS-230. You did great and so did your husband! For all the stress they bring, the bottom line is that they're amazing. Otherwise, you wouldn't be with him.

Ohh God... which brings me to another question... was I not suppose to supply my divorce papers at anytime in the NVC? I know I did at the USCIS... but... like was I suppose to send them in with the AOS and I just forgot too? And if so, do you think that they would just take them from the DS-230 package and send them over there.... or am I just looking for something else to freak out over???? hehehehehe just kidding... worse case scenario they just throw them away or misplace them  there is enough pages that they could really make some neat paper airplanes out of the legal sized paper

Thanks! I did that when I was first starting the process and it talks about just the regular police certificate which I got... but of course, I am reading up the forums and magical words "passport police certificate" come up, so I get all frazzled and think I am missing something :) Thanks again for reminding me to look at USCIS/DoS websites, they do have all the information.

Melody,

Suddenly I'm not certain. It can't hurt anything to send it, especially if he's never been married so he couldn't have a divorce decree.

I was confused by the info (tons of it!) and got my info from the Bangkok office IV Instructions ( page 4 http://bangkok.usembassy.gov/root/pdfs/iv_...ckage_may09.pdf ) saying if Petitioner or Beneficiary has been married before then to submit the divorce decree.

I'm not sure if you're at Mumbai or Chennai, but I'm not seeing written the same way on their checklists. I'm sorry for my confusion.
