Hello all!

My case was returned to NVC from the Consulate after my fiancees interview over a month ago. It was mailed January 14. I have the diplomatic pouch number. I called NVC to check on my case today and I get nowhere. Just 30 minutes of transferring to one mechanical message to another. I don't even know how to speak to a person. This whole process is very frustrating. :crying:

I know how frustrating this is. When ours was returned we had contacted my sentators office and they called USCIS for me. After a couple of weeks, many emails, phone call, they got an answer that our NOA2 had expired thus closing our K1 case. We didnt know the NOA2 expired but it did while in route back to USCIS in california. We chose to marry and refile CR1 which is what we are waiting on now. Keep calling involve your senators office if necessary. I know you need an answer. Praying for you.

call DOS, then have all the info in their computers. The number is 202-663-1225. Speak to a real person, and they will tell you if your case is at NVC yet. Our petition was sent back on January 7, and DOS told me last friday that NVC had recieved it on Feb. 11 and were sending it back to our service center which is in Vermont. I am going to Morocco in March to get married. I know it's hard, and I know what you are going through, but hang in there!

Do you have the number of the diplomatic pouch your file has been returned in? If you do not have this number, your senate/congressional rep can obtain this number by contacting the consulate.

Once they have the number, they have a way to track the pouch. They are able to find out when the file entered Washington (NVC) and when the USCIS receives it.

Your file will be at NVC for about 4 weeks (this is the average), it has to go through the Fraud Management office for documentation before it is sent to the USCIS.
