I thought I would start a little topic for those of us that have been approved on our visa.

When are you travelling, where are you travelling too and from. How are you travelling and any good deal out there at the moment?

I was approved 2nd Feb, got my visa/passport back yesterday (12th Feb).

I'm totally petrified of flying, esp long haul, my final destination is Las Vegas, however i'm flying from Heathrow to Boston Via Iceland, then to Vegas Via Chicago. I know this sounds silly, but I dont mind little flights, and I really dont like the idea of going on a 747 or big airplane.

Im flying to Boston on tuesday with icelandair in business class, then hotel overnight and onto Vegas wednesday morning, cost was £608......not too bad I think for business class, cost for Boston to Vegas was $198 with www.orbitz.com

I'll finally be able to meet my 6 week old daughter!!!!!

So who else is doing what?

I came 8 months ago but I flew Toronto to Atlanta GA direct. In Toronto, we clear customs and immigration in Toronto so when that was all over, I was able to board my flight and go right to my husband.

Congrats on your visa and enjoy this time with your wife and new daughter

Good luck.
