Leave it blank?

Hello everybody,

The posters on this forum have been so far very helpful and supportive. Thank guys. I definitely will have more questions in the near future .

For now, my question is: should I leave question that is not relevant to me, blank? For example, I have never been married before, so I should leave it blank, right? Or, should I put N/A? I am filing for I-130 spousal application.

never leave anything blank.. either respond NA or none dependant upon the wording of the question...

This is a kind of stupid question, but I want to make sure. When I am doing the G-325A on me, "the applicant's residence last five years" refer to me right? Not my wife. Actually, I am 99% sure that is the case--but I want to be sure

You need to complete a G325A for you and one for her.. its bio info about the individual... so your form will have your info on it.. and hers will have her info...

Hi Tuan, just in case this question comes up (it did when we filled out our G325a).

For the field that includes (Date, City, Country of Birth) for the parents

We only put the DOB and then PHU THO, Vietnam and DOB and then NINH BINH, Vietnam for her parents.

This was a bit confusing when we filled out the form because they were not born in any "City" just the province.

Thats how we did it and there was no questions or problems.

There's still some coffee in the pot Bernie. just made it a little while ago. I see what you mean by the parents info... it can be tricky for the beneficiary and in some cases the province can be used in lieu of the city.. for us it was more of an issue with the long address names that didn't fit in the spaces so we needed attachment sheets for some items...

Tuan, Keep in mind that they will do a very thorough search of you and can see where you have lived based on utility bills credit reports etc... what one may think is something so small it can be omitted can be seen by the CO as trying to hide something...

Scott, you are right, but I couldn't remember the instructions guide , i believe in some forms you must put NONE instead of N/A, i haven't got a chance re-look at it.

Bernie: You are right. This question did came up. I asked my parents where were they born? They keeping telling that they were born ........Quang Ngai, Vietnam. I asked them what city where they born it? They tell me they were not born in the city? So, I ended up putting Quang Ngai, Vietnam for place of birth. I think it would be OK.

That is true. There are space where they ask to put "None."

No, but the consulate will probably access your LexisNexis report. This will include a LOT of public records about you, including police reports, insurance reports, property and business ownership reports, professional licenses, employment history, and may even include information from credit reporting agencies.

I doubt my LexisNexis report will have much. I worked three jobs during the school year but did not file tax because it was less than 10 grands. As for affadavit of support, my parents will cosign with me. I appreciate the reply.
