Hey Guys,

I filed for my husband's children and received the letter January 19th. I've heard others mention that the letter requests a 485? My letter simply said they were approved and the consulate near them would be notifying them. In the meantime, though, I'm up for my yearly visit over there. I'll be staying for two weeks, visiting them in Brazil, and by luck, I'm also flying out of the same city the nearest consulate is at. Is there anything I can do? Any thing I can prepare ahead of time?

Thank you!

Ah, ok that makes sense. So, they basically get their visa applications from the consulate and we wait for that process, correct? And as I understand it as children under 21, unmarried of a USC, they do not have to wait for a Visa number? I'm wondering if the chances of us flying back with them are getting brighter!

not from the consulate but from the US. The National Visa Center, NVC will contact you once the approved I130 has been sent to them. They will gather all the paperwork and then send the file to the Consulate/US Embassy that you chose in their country of origen.
