He also needs a scanned copy of his passport. They actually require that, in addition to the passport itself.

And they don't take cash. Only money orders. That's the only payment they'll take. So he'll need a $330 money order.

He needs a copy of the ID page of his passport. They need this for the bloodwork portion of the exam.

Other than that, you're all set But Shaun is right, they only take bank draft ... cash is unfortunately not acceptable

My advice? Be there early! Like ... super early! If he's there around 6 he should hopefully be out before 9 am.

Thanks, Ali. He is going to go to Canada Post to get the money order after he gets off of work since the banks will be closed. I told him he has to leave the house by 5:30 tomorrow. I'm going to call to make sure he does!

Is he driving or Skytraining it? If it's the latter, remember all the road closures that are kicking in this week due to the Olympics!

His best bet will probably be to go down East 2nd / Terminal Ave. until Quebec St., then take a right and go under B.C. Place Stadium and on to Davie. Just my $.02. But I'd be leaving Burnaby at 5:15 or so if I were him.

Our apartment isn't in Burnaby. The Olympic closures don't affect where he has to go until Monday. He's taking Broadway to Burrard.

They were credit-only, actually. It was kind of funny -- I was sitting in my car for a little while after my medical when some woman walked up to the electronic meter and shouted to someone else that was still in her car, "Oh ####! The damn thing doesn't take cash!!"

So there you go!

Just remember my advice about the parking lot that is literally RIGHT beside the entrance. The gate is closed until 7:45, but there are six spots that are open to the public and cost $12.00 for the entire day. The trick is that the meter only kicks in at 6:00 AM, so timing is key...or else he'll be spending at least $20.00 for four hours in the other nearby lot.
