My fiancee just picked up her passport and her K1 Visa today at the American Consulate in Vancouver Canada (she lives and works in Canada). Her 19 year old daughter, who will be turning 20 years old next month, lives in Philippines. The Consule made a point today to tell my fiancee to expedite the K2 for her daughter by calling the Embassy for an appointment. He then told her that he would send a Fax to Manila about our case and the need to expidite.

I provided just about evey document possible that could come up as an interview question for my fiancee to take into her Interview in Vancouver. She passed without any problems.

My concern is the K2 documents. I read the packet 3 information on the Embassy web site tonight and I'm fine providing what it needs. However, I'm wondering what others have done with thier K2's that are over 18 years but under 21 and the amount of documention provided over and above the information necessary for the fiancee.

In my mind, the K2 documentation and interview is more about validating the child is actually a daughter of my finacee, hasnt been or isnt married, passed the medical, a clear NBI and Cenomar etc vs all the drama of I needed to provide for my fiancee in proving a relationship etc. Bottom line is that I dont want to FEDEX a 5lbs case file when all I really need to provide is the items in Packet 3.

Anyone been through this before in Manila and have some advice? Thanks.
