she will be asked to fill up the I-94 form with the address on the plane before she arrives. I don't think they will send her back but it is possible to make the correction at the POE.

No, we did not have an address change. But i believe they only want to know where she will live. The officers @ her POE will ask her this question and she will have to provide it on the I 94 form. They will compare it with the city and state on her visa. We all know it is not advisable to mislead an officer so i would try to provide her with information to support your address change, IE: copy of address change form you filled out, any response from the embassy in regard to that, and a copy of a bill with your new address with your name.

Hey GuardianAngel! :innocent:

WOW! Much thanks to you for bringing up our concern during your seminar. Anyway, My fiance (Sage1) already called at the embassy i think early last week after we found out the error on my visa. Gladly, the embassy told him not to worry much about it and that my visa is not anymore needed to be sent back to them for it doesn't need any correction. So, shortly they say that i will just inform the CBP Officer in my POE about his new address. Hopefully i won't gonna get any trouble in Chicago who happens to be my POE. THANKS MUCH FOR BEING SO THOUGHTFUL GuardianAngel... :) Best wishes for both of u guardians..

It shouldn't be a problem but just in case, you can send your fiance any proof that you filed the change of address - OR any bill/statement in your new address to show that's your actual residence now?

EDIT:

Oops, didn't realize that someone else had posted that already.

Anyway, I remember the IO who examined my documents asking about my fiance's (now husband) address. It was lucky though because my fiance managed to change his address when he called to set up my interview appointment so the new address was reflected on my visa.

Just make sure your fiance has proof of your move.

You got the answer directly with the Embassy, thus that's the best answer overall.

Just a comment on typographical errors that other VJ members might find: when you enter the US, at the POE you must give a SEALED envelope that you received from the Embassy. Obviously I didn't open mine, but my guess is this envelope has your the file that go to the USCIS office. If the officer at the POE has any questions, you should suggest him / her to take a look at the sealed envelope that you are giving him.

I know that this process is nerve wrecking, but my experience is that if we calmly explain to the officer, on most cases they will make a reasonable decision.
