My Toyota Supra Turbo take an astonishing long 4.6 seconds to hit 60 mph from a dead stop

4.6 seconds? The fastest Porsche (911 GT3 RS) goes from 0 to 60 in 3.8 seconds.

The MK I Supra (1981) has a 0-60 mph time of 10.24 seconds. 1982 MK II L-Type

clocks a 0-60 time of 9.8 seconds. The last model they made (1985) goes from

0-60 mph in 8.4 seconds.

I doubt you can do it in 8 seconds, let alone 4.6.

The MK IV turbos were much faster than the models you mentioned.

The only place you should park a 350K car is in your garage. Otherwise you never leave it unattened.

What if you leave a sheep in the passenger's seat, does that count? :P

You doubt me? 15 psi of manifold pressure with a dual stage intercooled turbo charger. I didn't go all the way, that 3.0L engine is capable of 675 HP. But I am a slow careful driver. Had this car in storage for 15 years now, decided to get some use out of it. That was my plan for this winter, until my trusty old ladder broke on me causing me to drop 13 feet to a hard concrete sidewalk. Nothing broken, but knee tendon damage. But to save 500 bucks on my daughters car she needs for college, did a full brake job and front suspension a couple of days ago. Paying for that with a sore knee. Supra would be a lot more work, have a new timing belt for starters, but a lot of stuff to remove first before getting to it.

But not nearly the head turner as me riding my bike with two German Shepherds running alongside. Drives women crazy, they stop me and want to pet my dogs. So doesn't take 350 grand to get a head turner, and if anyone tried to key my dogs, they would be missing an arm or a leg.

You are comparing apples to oranges. Wilson is talking stock and you're talking modified. Nick there is only one way to prove a 4.6 time. The reason your car is "slow" is that the suspension is probably not tuned and the smaller engines make big hp but not much torque and the powerband is very high. Torque talks as the old saying goes. The supercharged LS9 6.2L in the new ZR1 puts out 638hp and 604 lb-ft of torque. It also has a 0-60 time of 3.3 secs. The engine doesn't have to rev into the stratosphere to move the car. Now if only someone had a 2009 ZR-1 to see if the 0-60 time is accurate.

The roads are icy here now. I can do 0-60 in less than a second and without moving. Beat that.
