Ok according to the processing timeline for the interview appointment that said 4 to 6 months from sending in the 230 and checklist, if all went well the letter will be arriving this month or next month. I should mention i'm doing DCF here in Toronto. Our co-sponsors just filed for bankruptcy. Now i have their previous 3 years tax returns and both of their I-864's filled out along with my wife's (petioner) they are all dated August wich was when i sent back the 230 and the checklist. Does what happened now affect them as co-sponsors? is there a background check? also if my wife in a US bank account has enough savings that surpass the poverty line for a household of 2 is that enough where she can be the sole sponsor? OR should i play it safe and look for another co-sponsor?

any responses will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
