I live in LA! Welcome to traffic HELL! (And a break from snow, but trust me, you'll miss it sooner or later, I do.)

I do think Marilyn, Rob & Mel and carlslo live around here as well...so you won't be the only Canadian in LA, don't worry :jest:

January 04, 2012 Biometrics

September 2, 2012, RFE Received.

September 22, 2012 RFE responded to

October 15, 2012 ROC approved, 10 Green card on its way.

Congrats on a successful crossing!! I had no idea some airlines had internet service. That's really cool!

What's with all the Canadians in LA?! Its a very interesting and dynamic city, but I found it very overwhelming. I guess part of me will always be a small town Canadian gal :lol:

I actually live outside LA. I live in a non-incorporated city, full of asian people! You only see the white people at grocery stores and at the mall, I swear.

yeah I don't actaully live in LA.. I live about 20 miles or so outside of LA... I too find the actual city of LA a little overwhelming.. I like visiting there once in awhile though.... mmm, Olvera Street and Rudolfo's... :D

Hey guys! im in the plane right now ! using GOGO in flight internet...this is sooo cool...

with air Canada flight

i haven't sleept since 24 hours XD im so tired ... we woke up this morning at 3 am and as the security has been enforced we had to wait longer than usual

i went 4 hours in advance to make sure

so we got our tickets and went trough the security as usual and to the border agent.. he cleared my mom and grandma and i told them to wait for me at the gate for our plane.

I said to the person that i was activating my K-1 and he said *ok then you have to fill the I-94* (think it was that) so he walked with me to the secondary...

he left me there in a room with 4 rows of seats and little booth with doors.

I filled the paper and left my passport with the paper and boarding pass in a plastic thing...( like stand for envelopes)

then i waited and a lady officer went out the room and asked me if i had any papers to give her...

i gave her the 2 envelope *do not open do not pack*

she went back in her room and i waited around 15 mins

then she called me i sat in the room and she asked me some easy stuff and was very friendly with me...

she stamped my passport, gave me some advice like * do not go right after your wedding for your adjustement* why because the paper need around 5-7 days to be shipped to california

so this is it ... and also they now have another security check after you exit the free duty zone... it took me another 15min to go through it

IM FREE! finaly no more goodbye

well for me and and my parents it might be rough to say goodbye :(
