Maybe you meant internet "sites" to shop from, wife and I were driving through our downtown section at wee hours in the morning with all the stores brightly lit and no traffic. Was amazed at the number of gift shops as they call them that we have in town with several more at the mall. Their key line of merchandise could be referred to as "useless pieces of #######", but they do serve a function, they collect dust. So I prefer to call them, "dust collectors".

Then there is the artistic taste to consider as well as ease of cleaning. I tend to prefer the natural beauty of the solid oak mantle on say my fireplace, and one swift motion with a rag dusts it off. But with a wife, it's now loaded with dust collectors that takes forever to clean. But what the hell, if it makes the wife happy, so be it. But she can dust it.
