Received SSN card today. married name is incomplete...

Good evenin! How's Christmas? Got my post christmas present today! My SSN card!!! Woohooo!

Bu the thing is, my married name is incomplete. (thank God got the number though). On the card it shows my FIRST -first name ( I have 2 first names) and my married last name.

Example. My complete initials are CMPL. which is also shown on my GC.

But My SS card shows CL....

Now I'm worried if this will cause any problem in applying for a driver's permit tomorrow...

Do you guys think I should still change my name on the SS card? If I need to, how long will it take to get an updated SS card with my complete married name?

Yes, you should correct the error on your SS card. No, I don't think you will have problems at the DMV because of it.

ill correct the SSN later i guess since il still be needing it. My DMV permit has my First Name, 2nd First Name as middle name, and correct last name. they dont have also enoigh space for my names. oh well, as long as i have the SSN, and DMV, and the FIRST first name, Last Name. ....kinda confusing but still gonna try and fix it later. You will need to get it fixed or a letter from the SS office. They will only put the name on your SS card. I know this because my ex tried to get her DL from the DMV...on her SS card it had Ma. (short for maria) but they would not put maria until we got a letter from the SS office stating that we changed her name on the card. It's all part of the stuff put into effect after sept 11th for anti-terroism checks.

16 March 2012 Sent I-751 package from Aviano AB, Italy.

29 March 2012 Received everything back...wrong fee. thought we didn't have to pay biometrics since we were sending fingerprint cards and passport photos.

30 March 2012 Sent everything out again from Aviano AB, Italy.

10 April 2012 Check cashed

17 April 2012 Received NOA1 dated 6 April.

06 Dec 2012 Received 10 yr green card. Letter said it was approved 28 November 2012.
