ties to the united states?

my friend is going to Canada to visit her boyfriend in Toronto...does she have to show her ties to the United States? to show at the POE?

she does not work, and she's not in school...she's 19 and lives with her parents still...I'm not even sure she has a bank account.

What does she need to get into canada? She's only staying for 10 days...

thanks all for your help, I know this has been asked a trillion times...

Hi,

Yes, it basically the same as has been discussed here about crossing the border in to the U.S. - if she cannot get any proof of ties - it might be a problem, but it might not be (it's always a gamble, having proof of ties helps put it in your favour, if she has absolutely nothing - then I don't really have a suggestion).
