I-485 since July still not approved!

My I-485 was received by the NVC last July 8, 2009 and on July 23 they transferred my case to CSC. On August 8, 2009 I had my first biometrics. Everything was ok, My EAD got approved so as my travel permit. Now it has been 4 months. 2 weeks ago I received an appointment letter to do my biometrics again for December 8, so I went there. They only did the fingerprints, no picture because they told me that the USCIS is only asking for the fingerprints. Now, another week has past and I haven't received any news about it, no touches either. And also, I did my change of address last July 19 and everything was ok. All the letters are being sent here except for this 2nd bio appt that was sent to my old address. So I called the USCIS and told them about the error and did a report and they said that they will follow up the CSC regarding it. It is just so frustrating to feel like I am the only one left amongst all the July filers. How I wish I wasn't transferred to CSC anymore so I don't need to undergo this dilemma. Does anyone here has any suggestions on what should I do to follow up my case? Coz everytime that I am calling the 800 number i can't find the operator to talk to regarding my case. I feel like this case is so over due already and it is not really my fault that they transfer me to CSC, that they didn't update their system regarding my address change and if they can't read my fingerprints. This is just so frustrating for my husband and I. Thanks.

Have you tried scheduling an Infopass appointment?

You can usually get more answers out of people in those appointments.

(That's what I've read in other topics like this, anyway).

I'm so sorry to hear about your situation - can only imagine how stressed you must be.

If I were you I would make an infopass appointment to discuss your case.

Try not to worry too much i'm sure all is fine - just slow. Especially given the holidays etc...

You're not alone - there's another poster on here that's been waiting 8 months...

I can't even begin to imagine how much that must suck... :crying:

Hang in there - i'm sure you'll get some good news soon & fingers crossed for you

Here's the link: http://infopass.uscis.gov/

I've not used it but i believe it enables you to schedule an appointment at your local office where you can discuss your case. Find out what if anything is holding it up/when you can expect a decision to be made.

I'm sure other members soon will post more info on it :star:

Best of luck to you

I just want to double check. Infopass is free right? I don't need to pay anything for it?
