Thank you all in advance for your help. I couldn't find info on this anywhere:

My fiancee arrived recently on a K-1 visa and we are getting ready to get married. Planning our adjustment of status paperwork we see that the paperwork we had turned in for the K-1 application is needed for the AOS. These documents were collected at the port of entry (Denver) and I just want to make sure that it will be forwarded to the proper office because we couldn't get copies for some documents such as her vaccination report. I just want to make sure that we aren't going to have to start all over with the document collecting because she is here in the US now and the cost/time of the process could complicate things.

You will need something that describes your fiancee's vaccination history. You can either call the doctor she saw in her home country and have him/her send you a copy or you can get an antibody titer here to determine what vaccines she has already received. What other documents do you not have copies of? Hopefully you at least have have her birth certificate.

Not a K1 issue, moving to AOS from family-based visas

K1: 01/15/2009 (mailed I-129F) - 06/23/2009 (visa received)

AOS: 08/08/2009 (mailed I-485, I-765, & I-131) - 10/29/2009 (received GC)

Hi, thanks. actually the vaccination report seems to be the only problem as we do have a copy of the biometric info with us.

I asked my doctor but she doesn't have any official papers where it is stated, the embassy doctor was not allowed to make copies of my med exam report (which included the vaccination report too) and immigration dept at the embassy wrote me that they are of no help as all the docs were in the envelope I gave to customs.

So..I took pics of the vaccination dates from my card - but these are only pictures and it is in slovak so I doubt any doctor would trust that. even though Latin makes it clear to them...

Do you have any idea on the cost of the antibody titer? thank you so much for a prompt reply, much appreciated.

and yes, I do have my BC :D

Nope. You will need to contact your local Dr. or public health center. I assume you mean that you have your fiancee's BC. Your BC is not needed for AOS.

:) Yes, actually it was she that replied. So you are saying we don't need some sort of certified or specialized doctor aproved by the govt. for this process? When she was in Slovakia there was only one doctor approved by the US to write the report.

You will need a Civil Surgeon to transcribe your vaccination records onto the I-693a. You can get the vaccinations from any doctor though. There is a thread on here, somewhere, that lists low-costs CSes in some states (the list is growing I think). Good luck finding it, the search function on VJ sucks and the thread doesn't appear to be pinned. Take care not to get ripped off, there are a lot of rotten CSes out there who try to take advantage of others by charging high fees and requiring unnecessary exams. Do some reasarch first.

Here's the link for a CS.

Some will try to rip you off to do a full medical. Shouldn't cost more than $50 and that's high.

Dr. Arnold who did the transfers for LOTS of people here has retired.
