Hey you guys,

So I had the MMR shot (1st dose) about 4 weeks ago for my immigration medical. My civil surgeon sent me elsewhere for shots and said I just needed the first one to send of the form. I was told by the place where I got the shot that if I want the second MMR dose I can come back at any time after 4 weeks... I'm thinking I will get it just incase I get asked at my interview.

But was just wondering if it's a USCIS requirement to have all doses of a vaccine?

Thanks :star:

As far as I know the second dose isnt a requirement. I know a number of people who havent taken the second dose and got their GC's, USC approved. The second dose should be done for your own health and consciousness.

Thanks you guys! I think I will get it done while I have so much time on my hands and just in case...

I'm not worried from a health perspective though as in addition to getting the first dose last month, I had the MMR as separates in the UK as a child, the civil surgeon just didn't accept the record.

Still good to get just in case they ask... :star:

Yeah, you might as well go ahead and get it done otherwise it seems kinda pointless to have got the first shot. I might as well get the second round of Hep A, too. It's surprising that USCIS doesn't mind if you don't get the full series of shots because doesn't that mean you won't be fully immunized? If that's the case, why do they even want you to get one shot?
