in other news, we are experiencing a heatwave, down in dirty MO. when i woke up this morning at 4:55am, it was 7 degrees. now, at 6:34 am, it is 8am.

the pudge is frisky as ever. he crawled to us in bed this night, not amused... right now he is outside and barking his heart out at the garbage truck.

Im ok, thanks for asking. 0 is laying down next to the sofa. It is strange he never made an attempt to get on the furniture. 0ur bed is upstairs and he doesn't do those narrow steps, and I don't sleep up there when the husband is gone. He sleeps next to me by the sofa.

As far as barking, he rarely barks and I wish he would!

Pudge only barks outside at trucks, children who didn't treat him right in the past and mailmen/women. Inside he only barks when he hears something strange. He knows the sound of all our cars and the neighbors' and how they walk and open the gate. The neighbors are very happy about that because he's protecting them as well.

Usually he sleeps next to me on his bed, but I switched sides with hubby because my back hurts at night and I thought it would be gone, but I think the floor is uneven and so is the bed... (guess I have to check that out when I clean today). Pudge has been really attached to me lately, I think it was that dog park visit and he now accepts me as the alpha. Have to go there tonight to give him a good work out.

Now that is cute! My friend's parrot only says her name in the morning and the dogs' names. the other one they had only whistled the duck dance...Luna really is a piece of work, nice in one moment and when you turn around she's going for the noses and tails of the dogs. And she was going always for the man, whenever hubby entered the room I was air, she even ignored the treats I had for her... (stupid bird)
