Hello! I’m new to the forums.

I am a US citizen and my fiancé is from Mexico.

He got approved back in September and we received a letter two weeks ago about an open appointment so we will be going

Next month in December for his interview. He has to go to Juarez and as support I will be going with him so it will be another

Expensive part of the process! But I am hoping to have him in California with me before Christmas if everything goes well!

I do have a question. Will we have to wait an extra day or two after the interview to receive his visa? I heard it’s not given to you

The same day anymore. Can someone please let me know what to expect at the interview? There’s a fee for the interview right?

That’s $100 I’ve heard and a fee for the visa which I heard is $140 plus the medical fee. Gosh so much money but it’s all worth

It just to be able to have him in the states with me! Keep us in your prayers!

Thanks, Talie.

Visa fee/ interview fee is 131$ USD I believe.

Medical fee varys as per where you get it. Just make sure its a civil surgeon listed on the USCIS website that does it.

There is a thread in the US Embassy and Consulate Discussion forum dedicated to interviews in Juarez that you will undoubtedly find helpful.

**Moving thread to the 'US Embassy and Consulate Discussion' forum where it may be more appropriate.
