These people are great. I wonder if MC, Pike, Big Dog, Rob and Mel would also call them racists...

Gooooooo Beck!

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senator Barack Obama
Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt
March 16, 2006

I saw it and loved it! These are the types of Black people I grew up with - self-sufficient, hard working, college -educated, successful, married with children, conservative Republicans - the kind that built the proud communities and businesses that flourished in the 1950's and 60's. That was before the liberal ** movement sold too many Blacks a bill of goods that going on welfare and having children out of wedlock (70% of Black children are born to single mothers) was their birthright as a downtrodden race.

Now, the lowest common denominators among Blacks have been defined by liberal Whites as the measure of authentic "Blackness", giving rise to poverty pimping, race baiting extortionists like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton who sheparded in political correctness and the fear among Whites of being labeled a racist. This result, among all the destruction that liberalism and political correctness has wrought, is the biggest reason why I came to hate the ** party. The segregationists among them started the Ku Klux Klan, and the racial apologists among them encouraged policies designed to destroy the Black family. Per history and reality, they remain inherently racist to this day.

Thank God for real conservatives that don't share your political tunnel vision.

Arne Duncan, Al Sharpton, and Newt Gingrich Join Forces

...

Interviewed on NBC's Today show Friday, Gingrich and Sharpton were asked how they had agreed to work together on education in light of the many differences they've had on other issues.

"I think he [Obama] has it exactly right, that education has to be the No. 1 civil rights issue of the 21st century, and I've been passionate about reforming education," Gingrich said. "And we can't get it done as a partisan issue."

Said Sharpton, "If there's anything Americans should be mature enough about to have a decent conversation, it's the education of their children."

Your views peg you as a raging and unrepentant Obama azz kisser who sees it as your job to distort and demean conservative visions. So, your view of "real" conservativism isn't credible.

Quite obviously, you know little about my views. I have a number of issues on which I do not agree with the Obama administration. But that's not even the point. Quite obviously, Newt sees the light that there are items and issues that are important enough to be lifted above a partisan divide. While I have my fair share of disagreements with Gingrich, I do respect him for understanding that partisanship doesn't resolve anything. Maybe one day, you will understand that, too. Never give up hope.

If I know little about your views, other than that they are myopic, it's only because you have been willfully misrepresenting them in your posts. I understand more than you think because I have a longer range view than you do of the history that has brought us to this point. And, those who do not know their history are bound to repeat it.

While I respect Newt, primarily for his work during the Contract with America, he has fallen into the trap more recently of crossing over to the liberal side to be "bipartisan". Conservatives are standing up and calling him on it. Considering that the Dims call any one Republican voting with them to be the definition of "bipartisanship", that only goes to show that the only way a liberal will accept bipartisanship is when conservatives do the compromising.

That is what has to stop. Conservatives are not willing to take more of Republican lite as their representation, even though the libs are trying to convince us that this is the way to get independent votes. I seriously doubt that more of the same of what Dimocrats offer is the best America can do. In fact, I'm sure it's not.
