Hey All,

I am new here (US citizen, born in US). My fiancee is in indonesia, and I am trying to finish up the package to submit for the I-129F Petition(K-1 Visa). The challenge that has come up for us is her signatures on the documents for the initial application. I have the following questions:

(1) Does the form (g-325A and letter of intent) need to be the original signed copy, or can it be a photocopy?

(2) If photocopies are ok for the initial submission, is it ok if the scan is not the best quality (still legible)?

(3) Any general advice for overcoming this obstacle?

Thanks!

hi there, regarding your questions.this is based on my experience only.

(1) Does the form (g-325A and letter of intent) need to be the original signed copy, or can it be a photocopy?

Answer.. YES, iut shoudl be original one and not a photocopy. The date of her signature should be in a nearest date upon filling your petition. Have it 4 copies

(2) If photocopies are ok for the initial submission, is it ok if the scan is not the best quality (still legible)?

AnswerL NO, it is important that the submision is original one, once you have already printed the 4 pages, you can make a copy of it, but make sure the signature is original one.

3) well, i cannot answer at this time for your over coming obstacle.

FedEx/ DHL?

Don't forget you need passport photos for the biometrics...

And general advice is sign all documents in blue ink, as it is a good way of showing a document is original.

Take your time reading the guides here and where it states original, it means it  Welcome to VJ!

1. Letter of intent YES must be original signature. G-325a can be unsigned but you take a risk of an RFE by an adjudicator that doesn't know the rule, and since she has to send the letter of intent anyway...why take that risk?

2. NO

3. FedEx
