Documents for the Interview at the London Embassy

I just wanted to see if there are going to be any issues with the documents I sent to my fiance over a month ago. We have not been scheduled an interview date yet as many of us haven't, but I wanted to see if we are going to have any issues with the dates on my supporting documents. They are all dated around the first week of October (ie. the employment letter, bank letter, paystubs). My mom's info for co-sponsor in case we need her is dated for the last week in September. Do I need to send more updated documents or is this going to be okay with the London Embassy? I thought of scanning and emailing updated paystubs just to show that I still have my job but I wasn't sure if anyone thought I should send anything else...Any thoughts from recent interviews? or current VJ members waiting for an interview date?

I sent Nik documents dated Mid April and he had his interview in June with no hiccups. I DID email him the last paycheck to print out over there just before the interview - but that was mostly to show that I was in fact still employed.

I did financial stuff as soon as the NOA2 for the petition was approved. So my stuff was as of March. The interview turned out to be end of July and there were no issues. Sending more recent scanned paychecks via email is a good idea, but I would do the letters and sign the form and send it over now.

Nich-Nick,

Just to clarify, were you saying to have the bank letter and employment letter re-dated and send them again?

What he said is to not worry about it. His dates were about 4 months out of date and they accepted it. Update if you can, otherwise do not worry about it I would say.

Out of curiosity though, we are still waiting on our interview. You did medical in October and are still waiting on a date? What travel date did you specify? We did a couple months into 2010 so was thinking that we were less of a priority right now...

Yes, I meant my financial things were dated 4 months old and I did not send again. With threatened postal strikes in the UK, I would be getting things sent very early. I don't get pay stubs so didn't send any. I was saying it was a good idea if you had the ability to scan and email the latest pay stub before the interview to supplement your other stuff was a good idea.

The police certificate is good for 1 year. You have until Sept 8, 2010 to interview.

And I think the person who put a travel date for next year will wait longer to interview. There are so many people trying to rush, and they know you will be happy to wait for awhile and may not send you an appointment letter until December/January.
