My fiance is currently in the Philippines and he has a 1-year multiple entry visa. We arrived in the Philippines on October 3 and he was given until December 1, 20009 (59 days) to stay in the country, however, our flight back to the US is on December 9, thus, he needs to apply for an extension of stay. Does anyone here know how to do this and how much he needs to pay for it?

Thanks.

Thank you...Im wondering if he needs to pay all those fees listed (under the "after 59 days of stay" category) because I think he already paid for most of those when he applied for the visa in the Philippine Consulate in Chicago.

He will have to go to the bureau of immigration in manila. I think it was 3300 pesos to extend my stay. It takes a little over an hour to get your visa extended there. There is no way around it. I know i was told i could just pay on my way out, but i didnt want to take the chance and i was already in manila. I think you just pay the second extension fee though.

hello,

you guys go to the immigration office you will pay 3,300 just wear proper dress code because if your fiance wear shorts they wont let you go inside the office it happen to me and my hubby . we go there but we both wear shorts so the guard doesnt allow us to go inside but we got lucky because there is a office that closer to the imigration office that they are assisting also for visa and extension but of course a little higher we pay 4,500 there is no hassle we just wait to the office for about 45 minutes then my hubby already get the extension.. by the way the best time you guys go early as posible for no hassle like this month that will be ok.... hope it helps

take care guys

I was in Philippines last Feb. & March and over stayed the 21 days by almost a week. They said nothing when I went to airport and boarded! The time before I went in and paid almost 5,000p in cash (everything is cash!) to a lady in an office. I still wonder where the money really went and when at airport they did not even look at the extension.

it wasnt that bad in the bureau of immigration. About an hour and a half and we were done. My wife was with me the whole time and we were talking the whole time...We went to the Mall of Asia after. The visa was onlly 3030 from there and i left with it in my hands and didnt have to go back anywhere to get it. I know the other places charge a little more for the convience, but i was already in manila to go to the embassy anyway for my affidavit so i could marry in the philippines.

Thanks for posting the receipt, I appreciate it. Did you have a visa when you applied for the extension? Im wondering if my fiance needs to pay the first 2 items in the receipt (i.e. visa waiver application, and visa waiver) because he has a 1-year multiple entry visa which is valid until mid of next year.

You're very welcome and no, I was within the 21 day stay limit and didn't have a visa.

Hi, my husband used to do that and he paid between 2300-3000 pesos, visa will be good for 2 to 3 months depend on what they will stamp on his passport.
