So we just received the notice stating that our application has been sent to the San Salvador embassy and are anxiously awaiting packet 3!!! I am in the process of filling out the I-134 affadavit of support and am a bit confused as to what supporting evidence is actually necessary... I see conflicting information on the forum, and the El Salvador embassy has no information on the internet outlining any sort of special things needed there.

I currently make enough money, but as it is my first job (started in September) I do not really have much saved up in the bank... My mother will be acting as a co-sponsor for me.

My main question is regarding the bank statement... will it be detrimental to my case that I have so little money in my account currently? What is a good amount of cash to have in my account to please the authorities? Do I even need to include a bank statement? Rumor has it that the El Salvador embassy is one of the most picky and obnoxious of all, so I want to be 100% prepared with anything they ask for... Has anyone here dealt with them during this step?

Must I include a W2?

Must I include tax returns?

What needs to be notarized?

Please help!

Thanks!

I-134 is considered at the consulate - moving to US Embassy and Consulate Discussion Forum

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

Your employment should be OK, verify it with check stubs and employment letter. If your current income is sufficient, do not worry about bank balance or anything else.

Yes, you need your 2008 return or an explanation of why you didn't file specifying the specifc tax code which exempts you. If you use a copy of your 2008 tax return then you need the w-2s. If you use a tax transcript from the IRS, then no, you do not need w-2s

What i gave my fiancé was my last 2 years w-2 forms and my social security statement they send you every year and it shows how much you made every year since started working. I am hoping that will be enough to prove what they want. I am in same boat as mayomayo with not much savings but i make well over the amount they say is minimum. I did give her bank statements also and copys of the titles of 2 vehicles i have that are paid off. I am wondering if i should send anything else myself , i'm thinking the more info you can send her the better.
