Hi Folks - hope everyone has weathered the storm and are ok! I have a question about translated documents. Can you tell me what documents you had translated in your cases? The only docs I see that we will be submitting that are not already in english would be:

1) Justice Record (planning on having this translated)

2) Hosehold Registration Book (is it necessary to translate this?)

3) Birth Certificate (is it necessary to translate this?)

4) Passport (is it necessary to translate this?)

Thank You All!

~Bernie~

For K visa applicants, there is no need to translate documents in Vietnamese into English for the HCM Consulate, so don't waste your money. However, you will eventually need her birth certificate in English when you file for AOS, so my advice is that you get that translated in VN where there are a lot of people who can do it for small money.
