Rescheduling interview to earlier date

Hi everyone. Has anyone had success rescheduling an interview to an earlier one? Amy is finally through the medical but the earliest I could schedule her interview was Dec 1. Is it possible that there will be cancellations and we can reschedule? I've called back twice so far and they still say nothing available earlier. I'm wondering if cancelled appointments due to St Lukes are then reserved for St Lukes. Thanks in advance.

I never would have believed my journey to happiness would begin with something called an "I-129F"

03/19/09 - I-129F Sent

03/20/09 - NOA1 (rec'd harcopy 3/26/09)

03/24/09 - Check cleared

03/25/09 - Touched

8/12/09 - Touched (4 hours before NOA2 email)

8/12/09 - NOA2 email received

***Received email at noon (Weds)

***USCIS site did update with the status

***Was 113 on Berkeley list; 156 on VJ list

nothing to do w/st; lukes. appointsments are on a first-come-first served basis for every visa category. rescheduling is the same so you have to keep calling to check for an available earlier date.

On Tues, St Lukes was giving resched appointments to folks who had just passed the sputum culture for this Thurs and Fri. When I called the appointment center, they told me the first available was Dec 1. Amy went back to St Lukes to see if they would reschedule her. They told her they couldn't, but were showing openings on Nov 12. When I called the appointment center again, they didn't see those in their system. So it would seem that St Lukes sees openings not seen in the appointment center. They could be other appointments they (St Lukes) cancelled due to requiring the sputum test.

But my question remains - has anyone had success in rescheduling an interview to an earlier date through the appointment center?

Thanks

If your interview is at 7am at the USEM, how early do you think we should go? My fiance also has an interview at that time, and Im just curious if he shoudl BE THERE at 7 or if the actual interview is at 7. Thanks :)

My SO appointment was @ 7am, got to the embassy @ 545am and there were quite a few people ahead of her in line but they really started to pour in after 6am. I think because the hotels breakfast didnt begin untill 6am. So i think she timed it perfectly. Didn't want to be one of the first in case someone didn't have their coffee yet and didn't want to be to late in case someone is tired and grumpy. lol Anyway, she was completly done by 10:15. Good luck to you
