we have letter of intent, but cfo requires letter of advice. 21 and under you need letter of consent, 22-25 you need letter of advice stating that your parents have talked to you about whats going on, we have searched for examples but found none, she is at the lawyers right now and he wants to know for travel or marrage, so everybodys confused?

I have an attorney as well, and the only thing I could think of that the attorney may be asking is something called an affidavit from the parents. This is a letter confirming that the beneficiaries family is aware of the engagement and know the petitioner. There is no such thing as letter of advice. I think your attorney is confused :).

I have never heard of a letter of advice. I guess this is some sort of new requirement for the k-1?

We had to provide a Parental Consent to CFO since my Fiance was under 21.

Per Philippines Family Code (Or what it was last year).

Age 18 to 21 needs Parental Consent (We had ours notarized).

Age 22 to 25 need Parental Advisement (What that is, is anyones guess).

The CFO will probably want to see a Parental Consent Form if you fiance is under 21, I have not seen on this forum where the CFO has asked for Parental Advisement.

The USEM does not care about Parental Consent / Parental Advisement, this is all about the Philippines Govt and CFO.

it's simply a letter (handwritten is best and signed by both parents) expressing their knowledge of the daughter's plan to go abroad to get married and that they not only are aware of it and do approve of it but more they also provide blessing/advice (since daughter doesn't need consent, advice is provided)

...and it is for MARRIAGE (a 22-25 yr old doesn't need advice for travel from parents or anyone for that matter)
