I am trying to get the tax papers ready for my fiance's interview. question 1. can i use 2007 tax return for the interview or i need to get the 2008?? Also do i need the my 2Ws with the tax papers or just the tax papers alone. All answers will be appreciated and thanks in advance.

You need to call the IRS and ask for 3-4 years tax transcripts, as soon as you do that, you will receive them in 5 days tops, then you can include your W2, letter from your employers indicating the length you have been employed and your salary and if in your affidavit of support you indicated your savings amount, then you need a letter from your bank. hope this helps?

Your interview may fall in 2010 so they will want 2009 ,2008 and 2007 as the last 3 years. They tend to think you should file in January

You definitely need your 2008. All our recent approvals, it seems, have submitted 1+ years previous tax records. We just turned in a notarized copy of the 2008 only and they were fine with that. I agree that if your interview falls the first part of next year, you will need your 2009. Good luck!
