Hello and Good afternoon VJ members,

I hope this post finds everyone in good spirits and enjoying life to the fullest. I know I'm still floating on cloud 9 since my Honey Bun told me she had the Visa in her hands. My fiance is in Shanghai, China right now and she will be flying here in 9 days. (I'm still in a state of SHOCK ) I'm wondering if anyone here has a fiance that came through Chicago's O'Hare Airport as their POE. Where should I go to meet my fiance ? Whst can she expect once she leaves the plain ? Will their be anything special she will be required to do ? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Good or bad

Thanks in advance for your help

Don't have experience with ORD; I flew into PHL but the immigration should be the same.

She will be given a white I-94 to complete before landing either before boarding her flight into the US, or whilst on the plane. She will go with most others to non-us citizen lines and give her I-94 form, fingerprints, picture and visa envelope to the inspector. He will then either pass her envelope to secondary processing and she will follow, or put it into a folder and tell her to go hand it to secondary processing (a small side-room with desks, officers and seats). After a short wait there she will be called forward, be given her passport back with stamped I-94 and may be told "welcome to the US". Then she is officially in the country on her visa; free to collect her bags and pass through customs into the states, either to catch a connecting flight or meet with you.

If you are meeting her at chicago, go to (international terminal's) arrivals and meet her there.

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

CLEAN THE HOUSE !

Clean the house TWICE !!!

No time? Hire a Crew for half a day...

Prep some food the day before, for 2 meals...

Have slippers ready...

Clean the House Again !!

(PS - yup - now's the time to get the porn collection offsite )

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Lol, yup chinese really like or should I say must wear slippers and a very clean house. Luckly I learned that from living there forever, but if you haven't take Darnell's advice. Oh I almost forgot, we went through that poe and it was very easy, just have the visa papers ready so the people know what you want and tell the officer what your there for and he might ask some questions (only asked us where are local uscis office was) and sent us on our way. But we were together, since she is alone he might ask her a few questions but if she passed the interview this won't be hard at all.
