the topic title pretty much sums it up..We are starting to prepare my husbands I-751 package to send (this is at the same time as I am dealing with NVC for my parents- :help: ). Anyway, I have been reading up on the forums, and everything seems pretty straightforward here. However I noticed on the I-751 form, in the upper right corner, there is an expiration date of october 31 2009, which is yesterday. I assume these forms get revised once every so often...and I don't know if using this form with an expired date is allright? When a form "expires", how soon is a new one available?

I dont want to take any chances on this AT ALL, obviously. Especially because my husband was going to pay someone $1300 for preparation of this document packet (someone we know/trust, and have worked with for many years for all of our USCIS related stuff). Well, money isnt exactly flowing right now, and after I came here and read, I really feel we can do it on our own. We've been together for 10 years now and have two kids...I am really not worried about the evidence or any other aspect-all is in order. I just CANNOT make any mistakes since I told husband I can prefectly handle this... (lets just say this kind of paperwork isnt his forte, and Ill be doing it pretty much myself).

I noticed this, too! I have to start putting my package together, also. I guess I'll wait a few days and check to see if there is an updated form. Maybe they haven't updated because it is the weekend? In the meantime, I guess I'll start putting together the evidence. Ugh!

It's not the expiry date you need to concern yourself with. They go by the 'rev. date' which is down in the bottom right hand corner of the form. As long as they are still accepting that version of the form, you're fine. You can find that out here (under 'edition date'):

Thank you. Although what you are saying makes perfect sense, it is still strange to me that there is an expiration date on there...If we are to go by REVISION date, why indicate the expiration date at all?

Trying to apply logic to USCIS is often a lesson in futility...!

ETA I believe the expiry date is sort of to 'prompt' USCIS that they may want to review the form and make sure they don't want to make any changes to it.
