Hi,

I just bacame an US citizen. My Canadian husband of 4 years has been living in Canada, and I have been living in the US. Now that I just bacame an US citizen, I am going to sponsor him for Green Card. I am just wondering what will be the quickest and the most direct way to do this. I don't think I can file DCF since I am not a Canadian resident.

You input is much appreciated.

Thank you very much.

Follow the IR1/CR1 guide. Click the word "Guides" at the top of any page here. After you've studied the guide, you'll probably have questions. Ask them in the CR1 forum. Since he IS in Vancouver, he might get her faster with a K3 but it will be significantly more costly and he'll wait several months for work authorization. With the IR1, he enters work authorized and the green card comes in the mail about three weeks later.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
