My fiance when to his interview today at New Delhi embassy. there his interview went well and they took all the papers from him and asked him some (no a lot) questions. he also had his oath done and everything...but after they looked at his medical records, there was something missing on one of the medical forms. so the CO gave him a letter and told him to take it back to Chandigarh (where he got his medical done at) and give to the physician to fill it out. then submitted through VFS with his passport and if he 'qualifies' they will stamp his passport with visa. he doesn't need to go back to embassy or have another interview date.

Does this mean the visa is already approved? since he already had his oath done?

Thanks for your help!

:)

after hearing all the details this sounds like he is approved. Just missing a document. It's not bad at all and nothing to freak out about.

It sure sounds like an approval, but just don't party too hard and book the flight tickets until the visa is in hand. The consulate may reserve the right to reverse their decision before you actually receive the visa (this is rare to happen, but I've read of it happening once and my fiancee was warned of this even though all she had left to do was pay for her daughter's visa). So you are 99% of the way there.
