Tax Return Translation???????

Hello Everyone,

Once again thanks for all the help so far. Every time my husband and I have any doubts everyone here is kind enough to answer any questions we have :) Nice to have the support cuz it's def needed.

But once again we've got a question :)

I am a Puerto Rican US Citizen and I'm petitioning for my husband, British citizen. My mother is going to be CO-sponsor, I am aware that I need to provide her tax returns as proof of her financial stability. What I am worried about is that because she files her taxes in Puerto Rico, the forms she fills out are in Spanish and when this is returned to her it is a stamped copy of the form she handed in. I know everything needs to be in English but I have no idea if this can be translated, cuz its not a letter but a form. This form can be filed in English but because that is not my mother’s first language she has never filed in English. My thought was that maybe if I provide an English version of the form they can compare and look up any questions they might have. Hope this isn’t too confusing but I just need some suggestions as to what I should do?

OH I almost forgot nothing to do with above questions but, all the copies we submit like of my passport, do they need to be certified copies?? Or can it just be a regular copy?

Thanks again!!!!

Are these regular USA Taxes? Have your mother get tax transcripts, if so - the IRS SHOULD be able to issue them in English.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
