My wife got her biometrics appointment letter with instructions to bring her I.D. and the notice she recieved informing her of her appointment. I will be going with her of course, but what should we expect at this appointment? Also, does this mean all the information and documents we submitted with her AOS package have been looked at and is adequate? Can we still get an RFE on any of that information?

Thanks,

Wyatt

Sign in, fill out some forms, wait for your name to be called. Fingerprints, photograph and you're done.

ETA yes, you can still get an RFE. Every application has biometrics done - it has nothing to do with the completeness (or lack thereof) of your application.

Bring all your ID's like marriage cert or certified copy, passport etc.. I did a early walk in and took only 10mins and im done. Make sure your finger prints are readable coz mine was kinda no prints hard to see the lines.

yes, it means her application is already being processed, but not necessarily 100% approved (the biometrics is done earlier that's all), so anything is still possible

the biometrics itself takes around 10mins. waiting depends on number of people scheduled on the same day as your wife.

good luck and god bless!

The NOA1 signifies that your petition(s) have been received and processing has begun on them. The biometrics letter will be sent to you when it has been scheduled...it can happen quickly after your NOA1 or sometimes it takes a bit longer. I wouldn't worry...it'll come in due time.
