Sent RFE to Lee's Summit and now they transfered to NBC, is this good or bad?

Hi every1!

I've been reading a few posts on this site and they have helped a lot of the questions I had on my mind, but since every case is different here it goes part of mine...

We filed I485 and the rest of forms of AOS on beginning of Sept 2009, registered online for email update and the whole 9 yards, but on the 22nd got a RFE (yellow letter), due to an error from the people who helped us filling the forms. Sent the requested evidence on the 30th, but again on Oct 5 received the second RFE (pink letter). We called Customer Service trying to find out if the second letter was an automated response from them; assuming that they didn't got the package sent on the 30th (we know they did thanks to the USPS return receipt)... They told us that it seems that they were not satisfied with the evidence sent and requested more. Also they told us to go to my biometrics appointment (due on Oct 7) and that until that RFE cleared the case was on suspense  Had the bio done, and on the 13th sent the RFE again to Lee's Summit, MO.... To make this long story short last week I was checking my case online and found out that on Oct 16 they received the evidence on the Affidavit of Support and that this case "Is now being processed at our National Benefit Center"... Is this good or bad? Checked on processing times on the NBC and realized that they don't do I-485... Do I have to worry? Bang myself against the walls? Hit nonexistent panic button? :crying:

Also, checking the status of my I-765 it says: Document production or Oath Ceremony

On October 26, 2009, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I assume that the evidence sent the 2nd time cleared up the way for the EAD and they got the ok to send it?

Also, I did not received any e-mail update over this...

This agency has the power of making you incredibly happy or just amazingly miserable. Thanks for letting me vent out!

Anyone has a take on this? I might need some Prozac, on the rocks (shaken, not stirred)

Lee's Summit, Missouri IS the National Benefits Center. One and the same.

Ohhh, I didn't know that...So I just have to sit and wait?

I checked a few places online with the processing dates and noticed how the NBC doesn't have any info on 1-485. I guess I'm just worrying too much over nothing :/

Thnx for the info!

Can I assume you submitted the I-485 & I-130 together?

Yes, we sent I-485, I-130 and I-765... We guess that the request for evidence sent the second time was good enough to resume on the production of the EAD...

The only thing that I noticed was that when we checked on the USCIS webpage last wednesday it had the same message but with the date of the 21st of October.... Now it reads: "On October 26, 2009, we ordered production of your new card."

Sitting and waiting but I was wondering by when I should receive this EAD

The reason that NBC does not show a processing time for I-485's is that they will not do it.... the I-485 will be transfered to you local USCIS for final processing and interview.

Thanxs again... I had my bio done at the local office and I was done in less than 20 minutes.

Hadn't been any mistake on the originals forms sent on Sept, I'd probably had an interview letter already (since I think my case is quite easy)....

God Bless

I just checked my mail and guess what? My EAD card was there! I'm so happy

Also I looked at my case online and it reads (on the I-765 part), that on October 28 they mailed a letter of approval. Once I get it off we go to the SSA to request my SSC... Then MV for a non-driver's ID

Now time to cross my fingers and keep praying so I can get approval on the AOS and a date for an interview!
