Well I am back

I thought I would give my congressman's office a call to find out if they knew how my investigation is going. Even being on active duty allows me to keep track of my case on USCIS.gov. I cannot however go to this website because it in not an approved DOD website. No one has updated my case since 28Feb06. So the aide calls me and says he talked to someone over at USCIS and they said my case has gone to the highest level in the investigation process. His words not mine. Still that was the only information he could get from them. The guy at USCIS said he does not know when it will be done. But he did say they were definitely working on it. After over 240 days!!!! They still cannot make a decision. So I get home and like taking a breathe I check my case. Behold :o Someone updated my case on the 15th of July. What I don't get is I check it yesterday and it still said 28Feb06. Why 3 days to show? So I still down in the dumps waiting for these people to decide my life. Anyone got any ideas about this weird case. :help: I miss my Nadya

I don't have a clue why your case is been dragging on. I'm sure you have come to what must be the most logical conclusion, that your case had a name hit and was sent to Washington for further checks. Anyway, I wish you luck, and I bet your recent touch is good news. I recieved a touch, but did not recieve my NOA2 for several days. My NOA2 date ended up being the same as my 'touched' date.

K1 Visa Process long ago and far away...

02/09/06 - NOA1 date

12/17/06 - Married!

AOS Process a fading memory...

01/31/07 - Mailed AOS/EAD package for Olga and Anya

06/01/07 - Green card arrived in mail

Removing Conditions

03/02/09 - Mailed I-751 package (CSC)

03/06/09 - Check cashed

03/10/09 - Recieved Olga's NOA1

03/28/09 - Olga did biometrics

05/11/09 - Anya recieved NOA1 (took a call to USCIS to take care of it, oddly, they were helpful)

I dont know what DoD system you use, but I work for DoD also and have no problems getting on official government web sites. Hell I can even get on the VJ board at work.

Your petition is way out of whack. You need to do more than call your congressman. Find out who your senators are, go to their website and download the forms required for them to open an official case and to make inquiries into your specific case. A congressman's aide calling USCIS rarely gets attention. However a written request from a senator does!!!!

I dont know what you do for DoD but if you are in sensitive work requiring very high security clearance, that could be your hold up. To avoid that issue, I made sure that the security people at the base I work at were fully aware of my contact with a foriegn national. If you have very high security clearance and have not done that, you could have set off red flags.

I'm with a Air Guard unit and don't have too high of a clearance. The Air Force is been going through a complete change on how we have access to the networks. So sites like this will eventually be off limits if not already. With that being said I just wondering why it took 3 days for them to post the"Touch". Not to mention what the hell they did. By the way I did confirm today that is was not because of the congressman's office making the inquiry. So I hope maybe it was someone finally updating my case for final adjudication. I did think about calling my senator. However my Congressman is the Speaker of the House. I believe he is 3rd in line to be the top dog. Not sure if it would make a difference to go with the senator. Lately I have been crawling up tree to keep from going crazy. When you love someone so much. Nothing can cure your pain except the Love of your life.

The online/e-mail update has proven not to be so reliable. Sometimes people get things in the mail without getting a touch. Also, they can take long to update the system. Take the RFE's they've been getting back from petitioners. They have taken a week to show they have received them back.

Good luck.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.
