I received an RFE on my AOS application back in August. We are just able to get the information requested now and will be sending that in tomorrow. USCIS told me that this also delays the EAD application.

Can someone tell me if I can simply request that they expedite the EAD based on the delay already created by the RFE and the fact that I can not get a SSN, drivers license, register my cars OR a job until I have my EAD.

Will it create a new 90 day wait for the EAD?

Ideas? Experience?

Thanks!

You can't really expedite it and technically no the 90 days doesn't start again but they don't really need to guarantee it in the original 90 days if you catch my drift.

What I would is make an infopass appointment and request that a decision is made. With luck you'll get your EAD approved within a week of that.

Thanks, we'll see. I asked for it to be expedited in the cover letter for the RFE so hopefully they will take what I said into consideration. If I don't hear something soon I'll make an infopass appointment but I've heard that it hasn't worked for anyone. Does anyone have experience with it working? Thanks!
