AOS = Affidative of support

Hi all,

After we paid the AOS-bill online, we called NVC and the operator said that we must send

the reciept of AOS-bill with a completed form I-864 back to NVC.

When I checked this website, I saw a flow chart process which claims that I-864 form

will be generated (with cover sheet?) and send to us by NVC after they recieve AOS-bill.

Which following case is true?

1- If the latter is true, then we can not send I-864 form with AOS-bill now untill we get

one from NVC.

2a- If the operator is right, then we should send the I-864 form along the AOS-bill but

we don't have a cover sheet.

2b- If we don't send the cover sheet, what is going to happen?

Thanks

This is a great question because the website says we must wait until NVC contacts us before sending in the I-864. But what exactly are we waiting for, I mean we can print the cover sheet and the forms right now,,,,,

Does the NVC send a letter with the go ahead to send the forms in?

If you check the website www.immigrantvisas.state.gov and your AOS package is invoiced, you pay it using a US account. After 2-5 days, it will go from saying "in-process" to "paid".

One the status shows "paid" you print the receipt and there is an icon at the bottom that says "print cover sheet". You print this sheet and sned it with the 864 package. NVC will not process the 864 without this cover sheet.

Clarification please.

The NVC webpage where I paid the AOS fee tells me to wait until I am contacted concerning I-864 documents. When I phone the NVC I am told essentially the same thing except that if I am not contacted within 6 weeks, to call back.

But are you suggesting that we just print the cover sheet and send the documents in anyway?
