One week. There's a little bit of "holy ######" going on in my head right now, but I'm remarkably calm about the whole thing.

AFAICT I just need the police certificate (which London Police Services say they can get in 10 minutes, so I'm getting that tomorrow when their records department is open) and proof of domicile / support (which we're in the process of getting). Medical's done, long form birth certificate is obtained, and all my forms are ready to take with me.

Do we have any more November 9 people yet?

I have my medical tomorrow, so I'm at home right now.

My dad is taking me and I have to get up at like 4am, ugh.

Ughh 4 am!?

Mine is on Tuesday and I'll have to get up pretty early myself. Im wondering what my dad will do while I get it done?

Can people come inside and wait with use? Im going to the Toronto clinic btw.

Yeah, I wonder this myself.

I made a MAP of ####### around there, including a couple parks if so inclined. Included a Green P lot but yeah, parking is expensive.

Really good. We arrived around 6:30 and there was only 1 car parked in front of the building. There is also parking on the side street right across from the building. Its also free before 8 or 9 am, so if you have someone to go outside and put money in the machine around 8, it really won't cost you much. If you're one of the first people in line you should be done within 2 hours or so.

 I hated that, was up at 3am to drive to TO with my family. Worst was they had to goto my mom's consulate (german) to start the stuff for her passport (the old consulate burnt down so they had none of her documentation anymore so it was like starting from scratch. I didnt realize they had already gone though and my medical was over really quickly, was about around 9ish, then I was left standing outside for an hour unable to get ahold of anyone because of course, no cellphones in the consulate. UGH! hopefully yours goes really quickly too.

CanAm - they can come inside with you but you don't go back to the waiting room until you are done in the TO one. Once they take you to start the paperwork most of your waiting is done either in the little hallway on the chairs or in a room waiting for the dr. Your dad can wait inside for you though, but be warned the parking there SUCKS!

I went to the TO office too for the medical. Mine didn't take very long once they got started. I took the GO train to union, so I was by myself. GO or subway may be an option if you don't wanna bother with the parking and have people waiting on you.

I don't know if anyone else has an answer to this, but I'm trying to get the I-134 together, and the documentation says we're supposed to bring letters from employers on company letterhead, and that the letter should state whether we're permanent or temporary.

Alas, our company's lawyer doens't allow usage of the word "permanent" when it concerns employees. Will the accept something like "ongoing employment" or does it have to be the specific wording?

OMG Missa, I've been so paranoid about getting the flu. I got the H1N1 shot coming up but that is after the interview. Right now, Im swallowing liters of orange juice, avoiding PEOPLE and trying to limit outside exposure as much as possible. CABIN FEVER!!!

I think my fiance's letter was something along the lines of "full time employee since mm/dd/yyyy. He makes $$$." That is enough, I believe.

Finally married... and still married... ;)

I'm just concerned because I'm not a full-time employee at either job - I'm a part time "HR Secretary" at one job (my morning job) and I'm the Executive Director of a youth center in the afternoon (part time, usual non-profit style salary). I make enough at the youth center to be above the 125% but juuuust barely. The second job shows that I make more than enough to support us both, but I was just worried that they wouldn't acknowledge it because it doesn't say "permanent" or "temporary" like the instructions say....

<----Chronic worrier.

I really wouldn't worry, they didn't even read mine and many get away without bringing one at all. Of course no job is permanent, there is always a remote chance of getting fired or laid off pretty much anywhere right? I would just have them right it up using whatever wording they want... "ongoing employment" or whatever else they see fit. I think ours just said he is a full time employee since xxx and has a good standing with the company. As long as you make over the poverty level, I don't imagine that it really matters if your full time or part time. I suspect they won't care.
