Not sure what this means

Hi all. We sent our paperwork in and it got transfered to CSC. Today we got an email saying the following:

The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Does this mean it has been transfered to a local office or is it still in CSC?

I got the same thing this evening. We were transferred three months ago to CSC. I don't know what is going on, hard to tell from that isn't it.

I agree...they aren't very informative. Of course...we are talking about ICE

True and if I were to cal; the USCIS 800 number they would just repeat what it already says and not give any more information. uggggg

It means your case was transferred to CSC - to them (USCIS) that's all it means.

To us it means (for the majority of cases transferred) that the petition will very likely be eventually approved without an interview. (A small percentage of cases can later be kicked back to the local office for an interview but a majority are not interviewed.) It's good news in other words.

Yep I guess a little more sitting and waiting ..which I am getting used to with these people.

This is indeed very confusing but my guess is they have transfered it back to the local office for an interview.

I may be wrong, probably somelse could shed a light more light.

See thats why I am confused. Our case was already transfered to CSC so I am not sure if it has been transfered again or if they are processing it at CSC where it was transfered to a few months ago.

I am confused by the same thing. But from what it says I am hoping it is at CSC .. maybe wishful thinking...but until I hear different I am going to think that

Are you sure the email did not state that you case is PENDING at the office to which is was transferred. Make sure, then would be definetly mean good news.
