Hello Everyone,

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum. My CR-1 case (I'm the petitioner) has just been reaffirmed by USCIS and forwarded to the NVC. I received a letter fromt the NVC stating that since the case was previously processed by the NVC, that the file will be forwarded to the US Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City. Does anyone know how long that takes? and what the process is? Anyone with experience with the Consulate in HCMC?

thanks

I don't understand "since the case was previously processed by the NVC" ?

Putting a timeline will help.

I do know the Consulate at HCMC is VERY tough.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

The NVC processed the case file in 2008. My wife failed her interview and the file was sent back to USCIS and has since been reaffirmed and forwarded to the NVC.

Hopefully you guys have "corrected" the reason for the denial the first time around. I'm not familiar with timespans at HCMC. Someone else here on VJ will no doubt know.

Go get um!
