Hello

My wife received her AP to travel yesterday (e-mail notice). We would like to travel and be with her family for the month of Dec. Is it possible to write USCIS and ask for a date , for her interview, after say, Dec. or is that abit rude?

If not, would I write the Dept of Homeland Security in Lee's Summit, Mo. or ??

I think it's a bit presumptuous to ask USCIS to do you any favors, especially if it's for a vacation. IMO it makes it look like your AOS isn't your top priority. That's just my opinion though.

I doubt that you can make that sort of request anyway unless it's an extreme circumstance.

My advice would be to wait till you are done with the interview before traveling. How will you know when to appear for your interview if you are not available to receive the notice? That said, am sure you can re schedule your interview if need be but why create more hoops for yourself to jump through. All the best!!!
