I just had a few more questions...so here it goes

1. Okay, for the Affidavit of Support, I already meet the income requirements but does it hurt to also include other assets including home ownership, bank statements, ect? Can it help you, or is income requirement the only thing they will go by(if you meet it of course)?

2. I didn't see anything where they need a copy of her(my wifes) ss card, or a copy of my birth certificate. Would that be beneficial to send?

3. Do we need any proof yet of shared bank accounts, shared bills, ect.? or is that just for the interview? She isn't on any of my accounts yet. Also, since her ss # is in her maiden name, do you know if I can even get her new name on our accounts(bank accounts, bills, credit cards)? And if her maiden name is on them accounts, would it still work for the interview?

Income is only thing needed if you meet the qualifications, can't say it would hurt or help if you included it.

Neither is needed.

Proof of relationship is only needed at interview. You can call and add her name on any bill you want just give them her married name, as for the bank you might want to take a copy of your marriage certificate to show you have married and she can use your name now. (And YES the marriage certificate will always be in her maiden name, they never change it...b4 u ask :D .

Yeah I was about to ask that. Okay, thats great then. I'm excited to get these papers sent in, as she only has a month left on her I-94. But at the same time, I'm not going through a lawyer so I'm just trying to make absolutely sure on everything. As far as filing goes, If I send it lets say a week before the I-94 is up, and they get it the day after it expires, would that make her late on filing? Is there any consequences for that? I'm planning on filing sometime between now and this weekend. Should I send it UPS or Fed ex? Is one safer, or better than the other? Thanks for your help!!

I sent ours in 2 days before it expired, don't worry about being a few days past the I-94 expiration there is no penalty. I sent ours UPS with delivery confirmation...went smooth as glass, save the money no need for FEDEX since your not going out of country.

Just send what they requested.
