The K-1 visa is valid for 6 months from the date of issuance. You have to enter the US within 6 months. Once you enter the US, you have 90 days to get married.

A K-1 visa is valid for a single entry to the United States within six months from the date of issue by the US consulate.

Upon entry, the K-1 visa holder gains nonimmigrant fiance status for 90 days, within which time he or she must marry the US citizen petitioner and file for adjustment of status OR depart from the US.

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

Thank you for the information.

As a follow up question, is the K1 visa valid for 6 months FOR ALL FOREIGN COUNTRIES?

My fiance is in India and I just want to make sure that there are not any exceptions regarding the K1 visa expiration date for certain countries.

Thanks again !
