I dont mean to be too off topic, but i could'nt find anywhere better to post this, and candle for love is having problems with my resgistration. My question:

My fiancee was born out in the country, and never had a birth certificate made. I'm not sure how many are familiar with China, but what im confused about is how she has a Hukou without one. Anyway, since an origional birth certificate is not available, what can i get for her instead for the interview process? Or should i follow the same instructions on the I-129f form concerning birth certificates- except for her?

tell your fiancee to bring her household book to a notary office called, Gong Zheng Chu, that office can help her compile a birth certificate as well as translated it into English with notarization. she can also bring her Single certificate and police certificate there to get it translated into English as well, that office will then put those papers in a white booklet and you can have her bring those to the interview.

Hukou is correct, and most cities should have a place called Gong Zheng Chu for notary, translation, etc... this is the place you want to go for all of your immigration needs...

yes, they also give free copies, so make sure you get a few birth certificates because it's needed during Adjustment of Status.
